A good night’s sleep is everything on the road. That is why our vans feature a versatile bed extension system designed to maximize space. With 6’8” of sleeping length and the full width of the van for comfort, there is plenty of room for two adults and maybe even a dog or two.
The bed height is carefully engineered to give you ample storage space underneath, perfectly sized for mountain bikes, large bins, strollers, or hiking packs. You will also have just the right amount of clearance to sit up comfortably in bed, making it a cozy place to relax and recharge.
By allowing you to sleep lengthwise, our bed layout also ensures better insulation around your sleeping area, keeping you warmer in the winter with a diesel heater or cooler in the summer with fans or air conditioning.
Climate Control That Works
For those who need serious cooling power, we offer the Dometic RTX 2000 air conditioner as an optional upgrade. It is the most efficient air conditioner on the market and is positioned directly above your bed for ice-cold air and soothing white noise. With three modes—Auto, Boost, and Eco—you can choose between powerful cooling in minutes or days of low-energy operation.
Even without the A/C option, every VanCraft van comes equipped with a Fantastic Fan to provide excellent airflow where you sleep.
Off-Grid Power That Lasts
To make true off-grid living possible, we have designed a robust lithium battery system that pairs with solar panels, engine charging, and shore power.
- Waypoint & Waypoint XL: Standard with 400Ah lithium batteries (upgradeable to 600Ah).
- Altera: Comes with a powerful 600Ah lithium battery bank.
For heavy power users, especially those running air conditioning, multiple devices, or staying parked for extended periods, the 600Ah upgrade offers a 50 percent increase in battery capacity, providing peace of mind and longer stays in remote areas.
We have partnered with Energy Products for years to supply our self-heating smart batteries, which include Bluetooth connectivity for easy monitoring and dependable winter performance.
